Circular Polymer Resources Formed to Accelerate the Circular Economy along Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast
Start-up provides high-quality feedstocks for advanced chemical and mechanical recycling
Tex-Mex Recycling has announced the formation of Circular Polymer Resources, Incorporated to accelerate the circular economy by recovering, processing and distributing the highest-quality waste plastic feedstock to advanced recycling customers primarily along the Gulf Coast in Texas and Louisiana. The company also sources both post-consumer and post-industrial waste and sells high-quality polypropylene and engineering thermoplastics plastics into the mechanical recycling market.
“We anticipate a pressing need for a huge amount of quality plastic waste feedstock for the advanced recyling industry and look forward to the opportunity to participate in this vibrant market moving forward,” said Abigail Murray, CFO of Tex-Mex Recycling.
CPRI is one of an elite few that can provide better-quality feedstocks, and it does so at a lower cost as a result of its extensive contacts and procurement logistics in the United States, Mexico and Central America. Its management team has extensive experience in petroleum refining, petrochemicals, waste acquisition and processing, advanced chemical recycling and mechanical recycling.
The timing of Circular Polymer Resources’ launch and its strategic service offerings will benefit major chemical companies that have announced plans to incorporate 1-3 million metric tonnes/year of recycled plastics into their product streams by 2030.
