CPRI Names President and Announces Relocation

Circular Polymer Resources Names Dr. Robert Schucker as President, CEO and CTO and Announces Relocation of Headquarters to The Woodlands

Dr. Bob SchuckerCircular Polymer Resources, Incorporated has named Dr. Robert C. (Bob) Schucker as president, chief executive officer and chief technology officer to lead its mission in advancing the circular economy by providing high-quality feedstocks for advanced and mechanical recycling. Coincident with this announcement, the company has relocated its Texas headquarters from McAllen to The Woodlands.

Dr. Schucker brings 48 years of technical and managerial experience, most recently at SABIC where he led R&D teams involved in the development of novel advanced recycling technology, oxidative coupling of methane and oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene using oxygen ion transport membranes. Earlier in his career, he spent 23 years with Exxon Research & Engineering, initially in the company’s corporate research laboratories in New Jersey and later moving into the downstream research and development laboratories in Louisiana.

In addition to being a seasoned veteran of the chemical and petrochemical industries, Dr. Schucker is an accomplished entrepreneur, innovator and business leader. He founded Trans Ionics Corporation, a developer of innovative separation-based technology for the energy industry and served as its CEO for 13 years. A prolific inventor with 55 issued patents and others pending, Dr. Schucker has a proven track record of identifying and meeting critical needs, developing management and sales teams, forecasting, raising capital, and planning and executing programs for commercializing advanced technologies in the multibillion dollar energy industry. He serves on an advisory board at Washington State University focused on advancing the science, knowledge and practice of new soil-biodegradable mulch and plastic recycling technologies.

Simultaneous with Dr. Schucker taking the helm as President, CEO and CTO, CPRI has relocated its headquarters to The Woodlands, Texas, a premier planned community located 30 miles north of Houston that serves as the corporate headquarters for a number of major chemical companies.
