CPRI Signs Letter of Intent for Processing Facility Land Purchase

Circular Polymer Resources, Incorporated has announced the signing of a letter of intent to purchase 11 acres of property on which the company intends to build a processing facility that will ultimately have the capacity to produce 60,000 metric tons per year of plastic feedstock.

Located in the greater Houston area, this property has both truck and rail access, which will be advantageous in cost-effectively transporting raw materials to the processing facility from long distances such as California and also economically shipping CPRI’s products to customers along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast.

“The prime location of CPRI’s processing facility will be critical to supplying our customers with the plastic feedstocks they need, and the goal is to have our state-of-the-art facility built and operational by the fourth quarter of 2024,” said Bob Schucker, president, chief executive officer and chief technology officer.

Once operational, the processing facility will bring in, clean and densify raw materials to produce a ready supply chain of granular pellets suitable for use in the advanced recycling industry. CPRI is one of an elite few capable of collecting, processing and supplying better-quality plastic waste in a form advanced recycling companies need.
